OK - What's a Nuvistor??

A Nuvistor is a very small metal cased valve which can be used in situations where there is little room to spare.

I was going to take a picture of a Nuvistor next to a ruler, but some people are on inches, some on millimetres - so, it's next to a bottle of Bud instead....
